Workshop on II1 Factors

Postponed due to coronavirus concerns.

Organizers

Sorin Popa, Dimitri Shlyakhtenko, David Jekel

Date and Location

March 21 – 22, 2020.

University of California, Los Angeles.

Math Sciences Building, room 6627.

Description

Selected participants will present their recent results concerning \mathrm{II}_1 factors and related topics, with an eye toward open problems. Major themes will be the free group factor isomorphism problem and the single generation problem. The talks should be geared for discussion rather than merely a presentation of results, and we highly encourage interruption for questions and sharing suggestions (within reason).
